One of the most creative fight scenes for any cartoon on American television would have to go to Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In this scene, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and April all take on the shredder. With fast paced action, special affects, and amazing choreography, you can tell the animators put a lot effort into this amazing scene.
Rise of the TMNT takes elements from hit anime shows like Naruto and blend that influence into an American cartoon such as this one. The average person now a days, when you hear Ninja, you automatically think of anime. The influence of that popular genre is very apparent and people want more of it. Unfortunately this show couldn’t grab the attention of many viewers. The problem is, even though Ninja Turtles are amazing, their is a big disconnect when it comes to marketing them to a general viewing audience.
Should Ninja Turtles be catered to adults or children directly? Or should Ninja Turtles be marketed to all ages? What kind of art style would be suitable for these characters, and what network should they be aired on? These are all the questions that need answering. When the correct answers are found, Ninja Turtles once again will rise into greatness.
